Had a really good meeting with the National Assembly on Tuesday (good job people hadn’t arranged to fly!). Some great work being done on developing the Website so it can better support members’ involvement in sport, and generate income for the association (thanks to Gary Bankhead). Equally excellent work done on the lastest edition of Fire Sport magazine – well worth a look.
We (led by former Chair, Mark Yates) have now closed the sponsorship deal for sports clothing with Prostar. This will mean £100k of clothing being provided to sports sections and national teams over the next 5-years and, also, access to a great range of discounted sports clothing for all fire and rescue service staff (50% of until the end of May).
Also looking forward to this year’s FitFit conference in Hertfordshire. Looks like it’s going to be really good.
